Ellena specialises in hearse-building and its previous creations include the hearses based on the previous-generation Chrysler 300C and the Mercedes-Benz E-Class.
The Ghibli, though, is the only vehicle that this private company has modified that’s still available as a new car today. Its aim is to give those who have passed on the opportunity to have one last ride in style. In order to create this product, Ellena has tacked on a completely recrafted rear end and extended the wheelbase and rear overhang.
With the standard model weighing close to two tons, these additions will make the Ghibli hearse a whole lot heavier. But the standard twin-turbo 3,0-litre V6 should be able to compensate for the extra weight … not that it should be clocking high speeds, anyway.
