A bargain-hunting mum has discovered the heart-shaped paperweight she bought at a garage sale was actually an urn - with someone's ashes inside.
Jessica Roberts, from Wellington, in Ohio, took to Facebook on December 15 to reveal the $1.30 trinket, bought five years ago, was not as it seemed.
'I was sitting here looking at random things on Amazon and I see the same paper weight being sold for $30.00,' she wrote.

'Do I open it? Do I throw it away? If I've learned anything from horror movies this is how you get haunted,' she said.
The next morning, opened it up and discovered there were indeed ashes inside.

Ms Roberts, from Wellington, Ohio, was determined to find the urn's rightful owner.
She said that was all the reward she needed, and it would feel incredible to return the urn in time for Christmas, she told Wellington Chronicle Telegram.
If not, she would adopt the urn as a member of her family.
Eventually, the rightful owner stepped forward, Ms Roberts revealed, and the owner and urn were reunited.

'So I click on the picture to see what is so special about it and find its a type of urn for small amounts of human or animal ashes.'
Ms Roberts said she was at a loss as to what to do.
