The Queen mother of the Royal Bafokeng, Semane Bonolo Molotlegi, has died.
She was married to the late Kgosi Edward Patrick Lebone Molotlegi.
Her third son, Leruo, is now king after her husband and two older sons died.
She is the paternal aunt of former Botswana president Ian Khama.
The Bafokeng are regarded as the richest tribe on the continent that uses the platinum profit to invest in diverse industries.
At this stage, the cause of death of the Queen mother of the Royal Bafokeng is not yet known.
They were blessed with 6 children, 4 sons and 2 daughters : Mollwane Lebone II, Boemo Fosi, Leruo Tshekedi, Motswana, Bothata and Tirelo.
She formed the Bafokeng Women's Club in 1970. During the Bophuthatswana and Bafokeng feuds, she was detained with 51 other women at the Rooigrond prison for 10 days without being charged.

JOHANNESBURG - Royal Bafokeng Queen Mother, Dr Semane Bonolo Molotlegi, will be laid to rest on Saturday.
The Queen Mother died a week ago at the age of 77.
She was married to the late Kgosi Edward Patrick Lebone Molotlegi.
