CAMDEN, Del. --- A group of antique tractors on Friday led the way for a funeral procession along State Route 10, eventually arriving at Odd Fellows Cemetery in Kent County.
Toward the front of the line was an Oliver 66 Standard---the beloved farming equipment of Harold Carlisle, who died this month at 86 years old at his home in Woodside.
"That was his favorite," said Carlisle's son-in-law, Raymond "Matt" Fleming.
Farmers honored Carlisle, a Navy Veteran, by riding their tractors in a procession from Pippin Funeral Home in Wyoming to Odd Fellows near Camden.
Fleming said Carlisle's family and friends wanted to honor someone who had been instrumental in creating the Delaware Agricultural Museum and First State Antique Tractor Club and was also involved in Maryland agricultural interests.
"Harold has done so much in his lifetime that you have an outstanding crowd here today," he said.
