In the Russian Cultural Garden in Cleveland (Ohio), a monument was erected to the first cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin. 

The ceremony was attended by representatives of Russia, the mayor of Frank Jackson and local residents. 

The bust created by sculptor Alexei Leonov was delivered to Cleveland at the initiative of the Dialogue of Cultures - United World Foundation. According to the Russian ambassador to the United States Anatoly Antonov, installing a bust of Gagarin in the Russian Garden will serve to strengthen friendship and mutual understanding between the peoples of Russia and the United States. 

“New generations of researchers from our countries will worthily continue the traditions of their predecessors,” Antonov added.
