Egyptian Musician Mohamed Sultan passed away on Sunday after a struggle with illness. He was 85 years old.
The Musician Syndicate, headed by Mostafa Kamel, expressed sadness and grief for the great loss. Kamel stated that he will announce the funeral’s details at a later time.
Sultan married the artist Fayza Ahmed and composed most of her famous songs, including “Gharib Ya Zaman” and “A message from a woman.”
The legendary musician was born in Alexandria on 20 July 1937. He obtained a Bachelor of Laws in 1960.
He composed the music for popular films such as; “Dancer and politician”, "El Tout Wel Nabout”, and "El-Souk"
He also acted in a number of movies, like “Nasser Salahuddin” and “Zizi’s Family.”
