Padam Thapa, a well-known Nepali singer from Burma, has passed away.
According to family reports, the 76-year-old singer Thapa died suddenly this morning while receiving treatment.

A month ago, he was hospitalized at a Mandalay hospital for treatment of high blood pressure.
The singer Thapa, who had visited his homeland of Kalain, died there, according to a senior writer for the Burmese Nepali newspaper Lakshman Neupane.
According to Vedic tradition, his mortal remains would be burned at 2 o’clock at Omban Hindu Ghat, according to senior Burmese writer Nyaypane.
Thapa, a resident of Burma, has performed more than 100 Nepali songs.
He has written and performed numerous classic songs, including “Mero Aasu Kina Bagirahanchha” and “Varshako Jhari Jasto.”
In Nepali music, Thapa is referred to as the King of Voice or Burmese voice.
